At the Al Shahaniya Racetrack, witness the high-speed action of camels racing up to 40 mph, driven by remote-controlled robot jockeys in colorful silks. These incredible creatures, known for their agility and strength, zoom past the track in short, intense sprints. You’ll also see camel training in action, where trainers guide their camels in preparation for race day.
Visitors can explore the virtual camel city surrounding the track, including visiting the stables where some of the world’s finest and most expensive camels are kept. While shaded seating is available in the grandstand, locals often follow the races by car along the road parallel to the track for an authentic experience.
